ABOUT US

We are building a custom Northwest Modern/PNW Modern home. Join us for the process of making this home a reality and building a little equity along the way. We will share our budget breakdowns, tips, mistakes, heart aches and joy as we move through this project one step at a time.

We are David and Lacey Rasmussen and we are first time home builders. We bought a beautiful piece of land in 2019 with the dream of building a custom home. After getting quotes of $300-350+ a square foot we decided to tackle our project ourselves. David owns and operates a HVAC service company and is also a licensed and bonded general contractor. I am a veterinarian and do in home end of life care in pets. We both are very passionate about real estate, remodeling and home construction. We have done two prior massive home remodels together but this is our first stab at new construction. It’s an adventure and definitely not for the faint of heart. Join us while we jump head first into this crazy, beautiful, stressful yet exciting project!
